Guangdong, China - June 19, 2024 - The International Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance (AIIA), in collaboration with the Guangdong Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Base in the Greater Bay Area, recently hosted a monumental AI Empowerment Industry Roundtable Forum in Guangzhou. Held on June 14th, the event was designed to foster the integration of artificial intelligence across various industries, thereby propelling enterprises on their journey towards intelligent transformation and upgrading.
The forum was co-organized by a consortium of industry associations, including the Guangdong Electronic Information Industry Association, Hua Mei International Investment Group, Shenzhen UAV Industry Association, and the Guangdong Semiconductor Industry Association, among others. This collaborative effort brought together a diverse group of experts, industry leaders, innovative entrepreneurs, and representatives from academic institutions, making it a truly interdisciplinary event.
Carefully curated, the forum featured three key themes: "AI Empowerment in Education in the Greater Bay Area," "AI Empowerment in Human Resources," and "AI and Smart Transportation in the Greater Bay Area." These sessions showcased the cutting-edge technologies, current applications, and future prospects of AI, sparking in-depth discussions on the opportunities for innovation and transformation in the era of AI.
The event commenced with welcoming remarks from the AIIA Secretary-General, Cai Zhongtao, Chief Scientist for Industrial Transformation and Upgrading Yang Hui, and Founder of Yizhan Zhilian, Yi Xiaobing, who introduced the esteemed guests and extended a warm welcome to all attendees.
A highlight of the forum was the welcome address by AIIA Chairman and European Academy Fellow, Schahram Dustdar, who emphasized the unprecedented impact of AI on a global scale, particularly in the sectors of education, human resources, and transportation. Dustdar outlined AIIA's achievements over the past year, including the successful organization of international conferences and academician forums, and the establishment of several multinational cooperation projects and research centers to promote AI applications across industries.
The forum also featured presentations from notable figures such as Academician Ye Shixin, who discussed AI's role in revolutionizing education, and Professor Li Qing, who provided insights into knowledge graphs. Academician Liu Derong presented AI-driven solutions for the transportation sector, while Dean Wang Xiangling introduced the COOVALLY platform, which integrates over 200,000 algorithm models to enhance AI development efficiency.
The forum concluded with an interactive session where attendees engaged in a lively discussion on how AI can empower industry innovation and upgrading. The session provided valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities in AI applications across various sectors.
In a significant move, AIIA, the Guangdong Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubation Base, and Turing New Smart Calculation entered into a strategic partnership to promote the efficient use of AI computing resources and support the construction of an AI industry ecosystem.
