Guided by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the Nansha District People’s Government of Guangzhou, and organized by the Nansha District Science and Technology Bureau of Guangzhou, the event was jointly launched by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), the International Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance (AIIA), and other organizations. Over 400 representatives from governments, universities, enterprises, and international experts attended the event.

The International Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance empowers the development of the Greater Bay Area, aiming to create a global benchmark for AI innovation.

At the conference, the Greater Bay Area Artificial Intelligence Industry Innovation Alliance was officially established. The alliance, jointly initiated by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Huawei, the International Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance (AIIA), and other well-known institutions from the Hong Kong and Macao regions and internationally, brings together the forces of industry, academia, research, application, and finance from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It is committed to integrating the technological resources of international, Hong Kong, Macao, and mainland research institutions, empowering Nansha, and radiating to Guangzhou, Guangdong, and even the whole country to promote high-quality industrial development. The alliance aims to make Nansha the leader in AI innovation in the Greater Bay Area, a barometer for the national AI+ industry, and a global hub for AI talent.

Liu Wei, the Party Secretary of Nansha District and a member of the Standing Committee of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee, stated that Nansha will focus on platform construction, open sharing, scenario application, and ecosystem win-win. It will work hand in hand with enterprises of the innovation alliance to bring more industrial resources and quality projects to Nansha. The innovation alliance will focus on three core tasks to comprehensively promote the upgrading of the AI industry in Nansha. In terms of technological breakthroughs, it will focus on key areas such as large - model training, AI chips, and embodied intelligence to strengthen the source of technological innovation. In terms of industrial agglomeration, it will attract upstream and downstream AI enterprises to form a trillion - yuan - level industrial cluster and cultivate unicorn enterprises. In terms of ecosystem building, it will promote the construction of public computing platforms, open datasets, and application scenario libraries to build a full - chain industrial service system.

As one of the important initiating organizations, Cai Zhongtao, Secretary-General of the International Artificial Intelligence Industry Alliance, participated in the launch ceremony on behalf of the initiating organizations. He stated that the AIIA has strong capabilities in the field of artificial intelligence. Relying on the global think tank of nearly 1,000 academicians, it fully supports the development of the Greater Bay Area and provides intellectual support in technological breakthroughs, ecosystem building, and policy - making. This helps Nansha comprehensively upgrade its AI industry innovation and development ecosystem and create a new global hub for the AI industry in the Greater Bay Area and even globally.

Hard technology projects are crowding in, activating the industrial ecosystem chain.

At the conference, a number of AI projects were signed, deeply connecting technology research and development, industrial application, and capital empowerment.

Huawei and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) launched the "Education and Technology Innovation Incubation Center" cooperation project, driving both industry - education integration and the convergence of education and technology. Meanwhile, Huawei and China Railway Tunnel Bureau planned the "Tunnel Intelligence Hub" tunnel engineering industry - large - model system architecture, built a safe and controllable big - data platform foundation, and deepened the joint cultivation of digital talents to promote the digital and intelligent transformation of the entire tunnel engineering process.

In addition, a number of AI projects, including those from JT Science and Technology, Yinfeng Digital Technology, Zhongtu Technology, Aimeixi, Flow Rise Technology, Inkeada Robot, and Aiji Intelligent Box, were signed. These projects form an innovation matrix framework of deep integration of "technology - scenario - capital", creating a new engine for the development of the AI industry.
